No. For JPG and PNG the strip is lossless and pixels are untouched; other formats may be re-encoded (noted in the tool).
Can I edit metadata instead of just removing it?
Yes. For JPEGs you can edit EXIF fields and set or clear the GPS location.
Does it remove GPS location?
Yes — that's a main use. It flags GPS coordinates if found and removes them when you strip.
Which formats are supported?

How do I remove GPS location from a photo?
